Cafe Tempo

The new upscale Café Tempo at Johnson County Community College promises a menu of note.

The 110-seat Café Tempo shares space between the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art and Regnier Center– 55 seats in the museum and 55 seats in the two story glass atrium connecting the buildings – for a total of 2,400 square feet.

Café Tempo is open to the public Tuesday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. for coffee, pastries and desserts; 7 a.m. - 10 a.m. for breakfast; and 10:30 - 2 p.m. for lunch.

On Saturday, public hours are 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. for lunch; 2 - 3 p.m. for coffee, pastries and desserts.

Cafe Tempo is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

The fare of Café Tempo features upscale salads, soups, panini sandwiches and desserts for lunch and pastries, quiche and French toast for breakfast. Espresso drinks, fresh fruit and beverages will be constants. Patrons can sit down and enjoy the natural light of the café or pick up a fresh to-go meal.

Executive chef for Café Tempo is Tim Johnson, previously at Webster House Restaurant for 12 years before joining JCCC Dining Services staff in 2006.
