If you are interested in a studio career, JCCC’s Audio Recording Engineering Certificate Program provides a focused two-year education.  All recording classes are taught by experienced, working audio professionals.  A superior audio teaching environment includes a professional recording studio, and state-of-the-art facilities on the JCCC campus.

As a part of the Continuing Education department, this certificate program encompasses a two-year sequence with 1,376 contact hours of required work in recording and music.  Curriculum is designed to prepare you for jobs in the field of commercial music, particularly in the areas of audio recording; computerized music systems; sound reinforcement; audio and audio/video production.  After completing the program, you will be prepared for audio work in recording and/or video studios, radio/TV stations, corporate audio/video departments, and sound reinforcement/recording for theater, conventions, music concerts, and other live performance situations.  The approximate cost of the total program is $16,500.
