Dear Interpreter Training Applicant, Thank you for expressing interest in the Interpreter Training Program (ITP) at Johnson County Community College (JCCC). We are excited about new and improved prerequisite and curriculum changes. Enclosed in this packet is all the information you need to apply for acceptance into the ITP for Fall 2008. The field of American Sign Language (ASL)/English Interpreting is a dynamic and evolving profession. Our program strives to uphold curriculum standards that will successfully prepare students for graduation and entry into the workplace. We are excited that you are interested in this stimulating and challenging career! Each year we accept up to 30 new full-time* students into the ITP program. This is chiefly a day-time program that students must begin during the fall semester. We encourage you to continue this selective admission process by completing the steps explained in this packet.
