Tuition:

Fall 2008 Credit Tuition Rates

In addition to credit costs per credit hour, all ITP students will need to consider the following potential expenses:
Textbooks for INTR courses:
$400 - $500 (estimated total for the whole program)
 
Fee for Silent Weekend (required attendance)
$50-$75
 
Necessary materials for the classroom to include audiotapes, videotapes, a camcorder (preferably digital) and a cassette tape recorder/player:

Membership to professional organizations (optional but strongly encouraged):
Student Kansas Association of Interpreters (JCCC student club)$10/year
Kansas Association of Interpreters – Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf  (student rate) $15/year
National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (student rate)
$25/year
National Association of the Deaf (student rate)$25/year
 
Kansas Quality Assurance Screening (KQAS):
Written test$50
Performance test$250
 
Other expense considerations that are the student’s responsibility:
 
Registration for professional conferences and various professional development workshops

Transportation to and from class, observation sites and practicum sites

Fees for local Deaf events

You are encouraged to apply for financial aid by April 1.
