APPLICATION PROCEDURE
In order to be guaranteed consideration for admission to the Johnson County Community College Interpreter Training Program, the following materials must be submitted on or before the February 15, 2008 deadline date. Application materials received after February 15 will be considered on a space-available basis only.
- Interpreter Training Application (attached) - The application is valid for the Fall 2008 ITP only. If you decide to enroll at JCCC prior to official program acceptance, you must complete a general application for admission.
- ACT Scores (*if applicable) – A minimum Composite score of 18 and English score of 18 is required. Results of tests taken prior to February 15, 2005 will not be accepted. Copies of scores are required, for all undergraduate candidates, prior to the deadline date and are considered one part of the selection criteria. Please note that minimum scores alone do not guarantee admission to the program. (*If you have received at least a bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. institution by the program's deadline date, this requirement will be waived.)
- Transfer Evaluation Request Form (attached) – This is to be completed if you have any college coursework at another institution. To facilitate the review process we recommend you submit this form and all prior college transcripts by February 1 or earlier. A grade of a “C” or higher must be earned in order for the course to be considered as a transfer course for the ITP.
- Admission Worksheet (attached) – This form needs to be filled out and submitted along with the application.
- Official High School Transcripts or GED Scores - are not required.
- Official College Transcripts must be submitted from all other colleges/universities attended.
Note: Additional Transcript Information
- Each applicant is responsible for notifying each institution to forward official transcripts to JCCC. (Transcripts from other institutions will be released to JCCC only upon request of the applicant.)
- All transcripts must be sent directly from each institution to the JCCC Admissions Office. Hand-carried or faxed copies will not be accepted.
- If work has been completed at JCCC, a copy of your transcript will be placed in your file.
