JCCC Golf Team Wins KCKCC Designated

OVERLAND PARK, KS -- The Johnson County Community College golf team recently won the rain shortened Kansas City Kansas Designated Jayhawk Conference Tournament at Rolling Meadows in Junction City, Kan., March 21, 2005. The Cavaliers posted a first round team total of 307, eight strokes better than runner-up Pratt. The tournament called after one round due to inclement weather.

JCCC freshman Aaron Odom earned his first collegiate victory, earning medalist honors with a round of 75. Sophomores Tyler Goecker and Jay Kramer followed with rounds of 76 and 77 respectively. Goecker tied for second and Kramer tied for fourth. Also earning a top-10 finish was sophomore Tommy Clifford, who placed tied for eighth with a score of 79.
