Odom runner-up at Hutchinson Invitational

Aaron Odom OVERLAND PARK, KS -- Johnson County Community College sophomore Aaron Odom fired a three-round total of 229 to finish in second-place at the Hutchinson Invitational at The Highlands Golf Club. Odom finished three shots back of tournament champion Zac Fisher of Hutchinson Community College. The 55-player field played 36 holes the first day in cool and windy conditions, then capped the tournament the following day with 18 holes.

Odom fired an opening round 74 to take a two-shot lead over the field, but a second round 79 put him three shots back of Fisher. Both players fired final round of 76.

This was Odom’s third top-10 finish of the season. He placed ninth at the Coffeyville Designated, and was top medalist at the Blue Devil Classic. Odom also had three top-10 finishes his freshman campaign, and earned honorable mention all-conference honors.
