JCCC men's cross country team third at Tabor Invitational
OVERLAND PARK, KS -- The Johnson County Community College men's cross country team recently posted a third place effort at the Tabor Invitational in Hillsboro, Kan. Three JCCC runners placed in the top 15, and two others were in the top 25 in the 8k race.
Leading the way was lone sophomore Jason Rose of Louisburg, Kan. Rose finished ninth overall with a time of 27:24.88. One spot back was freshman Adrian Marquez of Hutchinson, Kan. He finished with a time of 27:32.25.
Also in the top 15 was freshman Josh Lacer of Manhattan, Kan. Lacer placed 13th with a time of 27:39.05. Other key performers for JCCC were freshmen James Carter of Kansas City, Mo., (19th-28:09.41), Philip Hickman of Blue Springs, Mo. (22nd-28:19.87), Rico Koth of Kansas City, Mo. (29th-28:39.59) and Daniel Barlow of San Antonio, Texas (31st-28:41.82).
