JCCC pitcher hurls no-hitter

OVERLAND PARK, KS -- Johnson County Community College freshman left-hander Will Falk etched his name in the JCCC record books Wednesday against Baker Univeristy JV, registering his first career no-hitter.  Falk was nearly perfect as well. Only a hit batsman with one out in the final inning prevented perfection.   It is only the fifth no-hitter in JCCC history, and the first since 2001.  JCCC won the game 5-0.

This also was Falk’s first victory of the season and longest outing. Previously, Falk had appeared in just three games, working five innings. A graduate of Lawrence High School,  Falk transferred to JCCC this fall after playing his freshman season at Neosho County.
