JCCC splits with No. 29 Neosho County

JCCC scored early and often in game one against Neosho County coming away with a 12-8 victory.  Justin Miller set the tone with a grand slam for his second homerun of the year and Brad Lewendowski hit his fifth homerun of the year an inning later.  Kyle Byler and Chris Dobler chipped in with two hits a piece.  On the mound, the Cavaliers’ pitching staff held Neosho County to just eight hits.   Dustin Holthaus picked up his first victory of his career, and Justin Miller earned his third save.

Game two was the exact opposite of game one, with Neosho winning 14-6.  The pitching staff had troubles finding the zone, allowing seven walks and 10 earned runs.  The offense went quite after slugging 13 hits in the first game.  Eddie Torres and Luis Lopez where the only two bright spots both going 2-for-2 in the game.  Mitchell Mathis chipped in off the bench getting a hit in his only at bat.
