Johnson County sweeps Labette

OVERLAND PARK, KS — Johnson County swept Labette Saturday afternoon, upping the team’s record to 16-13 overall.  Johnson County used a complete game by Kyle Crandall and clutch hitting by the offense to take a 5-1 victory in game one.  Crandall threw his second complete game of the year, allowing one run on six hits.  Luis Lopez led the offensive attack by going 2-for-3, providing all the offense the Cavaliers would need.

Johnson County used another complete game by pitcher Tim Brown and clutch hitting to take game two of the double header, 3-1.  Brown gave up four hits and no earned runs on the day.  Chris Dobler flashed his glove in center by making an over the head catch into the wall.  He dropped on the spot, but managed to hold on and record the out.  A couple innings later in the sixth with the game tied, Dobler hit a homerun to give the Cavaliers a 3-1 win.
