OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- The Johnson County Community College baseball season was scheduled to open its 2008 season this weekend with a four-game series against North Arkansas College in Harrison, Ark., however, due to the weather forecast and current field conditions, the trip has been cancelled. The Cavalier hope to open play Feb. 22-24, when they travel to Texas for five games against Northeast Texas Community College and Paris Junior College.

The Cavaliers home opener is scheduled for Friday, February 29, against Iowa Western Community College. The Cavaliers and Reivers will play one nine inning game.
