JCCC hosts all-star baseball camp

OVERLAND PARK, KS -- The Johnson County Community College baseball coaches announced today they will host the inaugural JCCC All-Star Camp, Sunday, Oct. 18, 2008. The camp will be held at the JCCC baseball field, located on the north side of the campus. The camp will begin at 8:30 a.m., and run to 5 p.m. Cost for the camp is $135.  A registration form is available on the JCCC baseball web page.

"This camp is a great way for players to showcase their skills to coaches around the area,"  said JCCC head coach Kent Shelley.

The Cavaliers baseball team recently produced one of its best seasons in the program's history. JCCC compiled a 41-18 record last spring, won the Region VI title, earned a trip to the NJCAA World Series and finished ninth in the country.
