First All-Star Camp Huge Success

OVERLAND PARK, KS --  The Johnson County Community College baseball team held its first All-Star Camp on Oct. 19th, and 53 players attend from all over the Midwest. Players were evaluated on 60-meter times, arm strength, defensive ability, hitting ability, and all aspects of pitching. Evaluations were mailed out to each individual who attended.

The morning session included a pro-style workout, and the afternoon session consisted of live games and offensive and defensive drill work. Each player learned the techniques that helped the 2008 Cavaliers reach the Junior College World Series for the first time in school history, and finish ninth in the country with a 41-16 record.
