Cooking demonstration/health presentation: ‘Essential Thyroid Cookbook’

JCCC faculty member Lisa Markley and coauthor Jill Grunewald will demonstrate recipes from their recently released cookbook and share tasting samples with the audience.

Two presentations:

  • Wednesday, Jan. 24, 6-7 p.m.
  • Thursday, Jan. 25, noon-1 p.m.

“The Essential Thyroid Cookbook: Over 100 Nourishing Recipes for Thriving with Hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s” is Amazon Best Selling special-diet cookbook. The authors will discuss nutrition and its relationship to thyroid health and sign books afterwards.

Lisa Markley, MS, RDN, is a dietitian and culinary nutrition expert who works passionately toward improving the health of others. As a recipe developer, Markley translates nutrition science to the plate using health-supportive ingredients. She shares her kitchen wisdom and food-as-medicine recipes to teach others how to harness the healing power of whole foods for vibrant health. 

Jill Grunewald, HNC, Integrative Nutrition and Hormone Coach, is a thyroid health and Hashimoto’s specialist. For nearly a decade, she has successfully guided her clients and students with hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s to health and vitality through her coaching practice, Healthful Elements.

The event is free and open to the public. Though it will be especially helpful for those fighting hypothyroidism or Hashimoto’s disease, anyone is welcome. Reserve your place for the presentations below.
