Debra Niewald
Founder and CEO, Wunderground LLC

Debra Niewald inspires and empowers entrepreneurial companies and their leadership teams to grow up … vision, traction, healthy. As the founder and CEO of Wunderground LLC, Debra teaches, facilitates and coaches teams in the use of EOS® (Entrepreneurial Operating System®), a comprehensive set of business management tools that helps entrepreneurial companies get more of what they want from their businesses.

An entrepreneur and business owner herself, Debra understands firsthand how "vision without traction can equal hallucination." As one of the founders and owners of a technology startup that ultimately grew to 750 people in four years, she rode the internet wave up (through acquisition by one of the Fortune 500) and back down again, post-bubble bursting. She then leveraged her unique skill set as a partner in a small New York City production company to help established companies like Campbell's Soup Company, Godiva, Hershey's, Ricoh Electronics and Liz Claiborne, among others, develop innovation strategies for talent development, new product development and voice of the customer insights.

Debra also moderates business peer groups for LXCouncil, serves on the board of the Police Athletic League of Kansas City, regularly speaks throughout the country, and leads workshops on EOS®. Debra served as a Vistage Chair in Kansas City from 2007–2015 and was on the Vistage Chair Advisory Board for two years. She is a certified somatic coach, certified Kolbe consultant and DISC® analyst and holds degrees from Southern Methodist University. Debra is a Kansas City native and lives in the Rockhill district with her husband, Greg, a retired naval commander.
