What is it?

Are you interested in a chance to help your community while simultaneously advancing your education and career? Service-learning allows you to apply what you learn in the classroom to real-life situations in the community. This unique learning strategy combines classroom instruction with volunteering and reflection.

Benefits:

  • Generate volunteer experience that looks great on a resume
  • Apply learning objectives of class to help strengthen the community
  • Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Gain hands-on experience
  • Develop civic and leadership skills
